About Me

Hey y'all. Lauren here.

There's not much to tell on the subject of me. I grew up in a stable family in a culdesac with my two younger sisters, our dogs, and guinea pigs. Overall, I had a normal and rewarding childhood. I
was homeschooled for a while so my mom could take my sisters and I on road trips across the country to learn about United States history. It was probably one of the best experiences of my life.

I'm passionate in all that I do. First and foremost, I'm passionate about my writing and about the books I read. My mom keeps telling me I need to stop buying them. But hey, as long as I have money coming in, I can afford to splurge every once in a while.

In April of 2014, after I graduated from High School, I decided to Nanny is Spain and Sweden for three months where I kept a journal of all the sights and people. It was a learning curve for me because I had never been on a plane or in a different state, let alone a different country by myself before. Though I did struggle at first, it was all worth it in the end. I got to experience different cultures, taste different foods, plus I wrote an entire book during my stay there.

I have not gone the traditional path of going to college after High School. Right now, I'm in college, mainly so my AP and SAT scores don't expire, studying English with a focus in creative writing, but I'm still unsure as to what I truly want to get out of college. I'm twenty-three years old, but want nothing more than to pursue my passions and dreams. Mostly I just want to write and live my life to the fullest. ADVENTURE IS OUT THERE as one of my favorite people from the movie UP says. I want to experience it all.

Favorite Movie: Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Favorite Book: Depends on my mood. Currently it's Ruta Sepetys' Between Shades of Gray.

Favorite Song (at the moment): Un Nouveau Soleil by M83 or Roses and Violets by Alexander Jean

Favorite Color: Steel Blue, kind of like a roiling sea during a storm.

Here's a picture of my dog because she's cute.
